Awami Workers Party (Pakistan) UK new leadership elected at its AGM held on Sunday. Awami Workers Party UK chapter has vowed to wage a relentless struggle against the exploitative capitalist system.
The meeting observed that Pakistan retained the coercive apparatus of the colonial administration despite securing freedom from the British Raj 77 years ago. The speakers said that oppression against nationalities in smaller provinces continued because of this colonial structure and colonial mindset of Pakistani ruling elite that is still dominated by feudals’ and other retrogressive elements of society who are subservient to the country’s powerful establishment. The country is still in the clutches of patriarchy that has turned the lives of women into a hell while the state is still employing religious hatred as a tool to perpetuate its dominance, they added.
